Weddings: At a wedding, a Unity Candle Lighting Ceremony symbolically enhances your ceremony.

For example, at the beginning of your marriage ceremony, two family candles can be lit to symbolise your ‘single’ status to that point in your lives and to symbolise your families’ blessing of your union. These candles generally have the ‘family’ names on them.

At the end of the ceremony the bride and groom light one Unity Candle from the flames of the two smaller candles, thus symbolising their union in marriage and the special bond that the families will share from this day.

A Unity Candle usually has the names of the Bride and Groom, the date of marriage, graphics and some text.
